Thinking about buying an investment property? Maybe a condo that allows short term rentals? I’ve put together a list of Seattle condo buildings that allow short term rentals.
Most buildings do not allow short terms rentals. Condo Boards don’t like the liability and owners in the building tend to complain about the condo building turning into a “hotel”. With all that said, we do our best to keep a list of buildings that allow it (or a version of it):
SEATTLE CONDOS THAT ALLOW SHORT TERM RENTALS
- 215 17th Ave E, Seattle
- 2727 Franklin Ave E – 50% rental cap though
- 750 on the Hill – 750 11th Ave E
- Austin Bell – 2324 1st Ave ($250 fee)
- Belltown Court – 2415 2nd Ave
- Elliot Bay – 524 6th Ave West
- Elektra – 1400 Hubbell Place (three night minimum)
- Fifth Avenue Court – 2132 5th Ave
- Montreaux – 425 Vine St ($50 fee, background check required)
- Newmark Tower – 1415 2nd Ave ($50 fee, background check required, minimum 7 days)
- Pike Lofts – 303 E Pike ($800 move-in fee, lease required)
- Seaboard – 1500 4th Ave
- Shoresmith – (new construction – 30 day minimum)
- Wallingford 45 – 1601 N 45th St
- Waterfront Landings – 1950 Alaskan Way ($100 fee, background check required)
We sold an entire condo building in 2021 – Wallingford 45. Wallingford 45 is on the list of condos that allow Airbnb.

One final thought – a different alternative would be to consider single family home versus a condo. A zero-lot line townhome as an example would be a very good choice.
