There is new Seattle condo project coming to the
Denny Triangle neighborhood of Downtown Seattle. Take a look at a video I put together this afternoon.
The 41 story tower will be named SPIRE. It is a take on the iconic Seattle landmark – The Space Needle. SPIRE will feature 352 units and will offer a tall and slender profile with opportunities to combine units to take in dramatic views. Laconia Development took 12 long years to start construction on the small triangular site. When the site was purchased the original intent was to build condos. During the recession, like most other great Seattle condo sites, Laconia decided to hold and refocus waiting for constraints on construction financing to be lifted.
Now is certainly a good time to build condos. Despite a recent spike in inventory, Seattle lacks condo inventory. Especially with respect to New Construction. In the last decade, there were just over 1,000 condo deliveries, despite Seattle’s population expanding by 114,000 people. Its clear in a press release by
Laconia and Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty that the developer is trying to capitalize on the limited supply of quality new construction condos.
The architect will is the talented group at VIA and the interiors will be designed by Robin Chell Design. The finishes are said to include, European cabinetry, quartz countertops and German made Miele appliances. There will be 4 levels of amenities including, for the first time, automated valet for the resident vehicles. The amenities will also feature a conference room, co-op working lounge, theater and wellness center. The top two floors of shared space will feature an oversized kitchen, private dining room, billards room, bar, art gallery and dramatic rooftop terrace with BBQ’s and fire pits.
